Read-a-thon: Hour Seven

A lovely peaceful hour of reading. Jefferson’s last book, Big Nate, was a graphic novel, which explains the sudden jump in page numbers (and the fact that he’s ahead of me in book count — eek!). He’s now moved on to Stop That Bull, Theseus!. I’m still enjoying Darkness at Noon, but it’s slow going.

We are also participating in our first mini-challenge! Treasure Hunt. The object is to find a book with one of the following items on the cover: a tree, snow, or a weapon. We found two books which each had two of the items. I’m not sure if this counts as three entries, since we found all three items, or two, since we’re only submitting two books, but here it is:

Two books to fulfill the challenge: Blankets has both trees and snow, and the Jungle Temple Oracle has trees and a weapon.

Now it’s time to start enjoying my wonderful chocolate cherry bread I bought from Roma’s last night. Mmmmmmmm.

Books read: Jen – 2, Jefferson – 3
Pages read: Jen – 158, Jefferson – 679
